Joint Hypermobility

We have a particular interest in the assessment and management of joint hypermobility and hypermobility-related conditions. Our experience includes working with children and adults who experience symptoms such as foot and ankle pain, recurrent injuries, instability, fatigue, altered gait, and difficulties with physical activity. We understand that hypermobility can affect the entire body and often requires a comprehensive, individualised approach to care. Treatment may include biomechanical assessment, footwear advice, orthotic therapy, exercise prescription, activity modification, and strategies to improve stability and function.

Where appropriate, we work collaboratively with and signpost patients to other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, rheumatologists, occupational therapists, pain specialists, and other practitioners with expertise in hypermobility, ensuring patients receive the multidisciplinary support they need. We have also provided a selection of trusted resources and organisations below for further information, education, and support.
