Podiatrist Profiles
Sophie Roberts (nee Cox)
MSc Podiatry, BSc (hons) Podiatry, SRCh, HPC registered

Following her BSc in Podiatry Sophie worked in Canada with the University of British Columbia Sports Medicine Clinic for 4 years. She combined her clinical work with specialist running and skiing analysis.
Recently she has completed her Masters in Podiatric Biomechanics, focussing on foot alignment within MBT shoes. Her findings are to be presented at the FIP World Congress of Podiatry this year, and she lectures extensively in gait analysis and sports medicine. She is also an author in the Oxford Textbook of Sports Injuries 2nd edition.

Amanda Walker (nee Thomas)
BSc (hons) Podiatry, SRCh, HPC registered

Amanda completed her training at Salford University in 1997 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry and has worked in both the NHS and in Private Practice since qualifying. Her NHS work involved working alongside a Biomechanics Specialist and Physiotherapists within a multi-disciplinary Primary Care Trust team.
She has an interest in systemic disorders of the body which affect the feet and lower limbs including Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis and has specialist knowledge in Orthotics Prescription and Footwear advice for these conditions.

Blerina - Rina Bimbashi
BSc (hons) Podiatry, SRCh, HPC registered, PgC Musculoskeletal Diagnosis

Rina completed her training at University College London (UCL) with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. Since graduating she has worked in both NHS and private practice where her work has primarily been in Biomechanics and Gait Analysis. Rina has experience in treating many musculoskeletal problems and she is well researched in footwear prescription and assessing running technique using video gait analysis.

 

 

Sandra O'Malley
Sandra O’Malley BSc (hons) Podiatry, SRCh, HPC registered

Sandra completed her training at Salford University with a BSc (Hons) in podiatry. Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS before joining The Gait Lab, and is now completing her Masters in Podiatry. Her Podiatry experience so far has involved working in a biomechanics team treating musculoskeletal problems with the prescription of orthotics and footwear advice and looking after the “at risk foot”. Sandra’s personal interest in rowing and running ensures she has a sound knowledge in treating athletes.
